Polar Express

A fun movie. A movie kids will really enjoy. Its the story of a boy who deep inside his heart doesn't believe in Christmas. On Christmas Eve, he boards a train going to the N.Pole......The Polar Express. There are a bunch of others going as well and soon he makes new friends. His journey is thrilling and in an IMAX, the graphics would've been awesome. So spectacular a roller coaster ride that you can almost feel the wind in your hair. After quite a few misadventures, at the end....he meets You-know-who and its not Lord Voldemorte Im talking about. The boy finally learns that One Must Believe In Order To See. An ending one can obviously expect because its afterall a Christmas movie. Watch it on a wintery evening with a mug of hot chocolate on your Home Theatre and you'll surely enjoy.

American psycho

It starts off fabulously, with Patrick Bateman(Christian Bale of Batman Forever fame) in his immaculate suits and rippling muscles. Being the Vice Prez of Pearce and Pearce, a Wall Street Firm he has an abundance of time and money. The movie is a sort of a narrative by him. It clearly showcases his thoughts which are extremely muddled. This man is used to people praising him all the time and lives in the high society that draws its sustenance from social position and status. One fine day, the snobbish Vice Presidents show off their new visiting cards. One of them called Paul Allen has a better card. SNAP. The psycho kills him. He then gradually slips, goes on a random killing spree, derives an intense pleasure from it and finally GETS AWAY WITH IT. And oh...by the way...he has a girlfriend(Reese Witherspoon) whose role is just to show how impersonal and utterly devoid of emotion, high society relationships can be. The ending is unsatisfactory. But watch it for Christian Bale's superb portrayal of a modern American psycho who is desperately trying to control his violent urges.
A movie made for Shikhar i'd say.
